Environmental Compliance and Environmental Procedures Workshop - 1.5 Day

Overview

This 1.5-day workshop is an abridged, classroom-only version of the 4-5 day, field-based regional environmental compliance-ESDM training curriculum for USAID staff. It contains only core “life of project environmental compliance” topics, without more advanced special topic material. It has been used extensively for new staff training at USAID/Washington, but is intended for use in missions as well. It is packaged with a full trainer’s manual that contains slide notes and step-by-step instructions for workshop delivery. The agenda is structured so that delivery can also be in installments, over an extended period.

Target Audience USAID staff
Length 1.5 days in length (can be delivered in installments over a longer period)
Emphasis The overall goal of this workshop is to strengthen development outcomes by building motivation, knowledge and skills to systematically comply with USAID’s environmental procedures and otherwise take environmental issues into full consideration as we design, award and monitor projects and programs.
