Short Training
GEMS produces training materials intended for (a) short (1-3 hour) trainings of USAID staff and partners on the essentials of life-of-project environmental compliance, or for (b) short sessions on this topic within longer trainings on other subjects.

Distance Learning
Welcome to USAID’s new online training on Environmental Compliance. These courses serve as a distance learning option to cover fundamental aspects of USAID Environmental Compliance and Agency Environmental Procedures. The training consists of interactive modules for use by USAID staff and implementing partners as an introduction, or refresher, to environmental compliance regulations and best practices.
The available modules, which are approximately 20 minutes long, are:
- Module1: Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Overview
- Module2: USAID Environmental Policies and Procedures
- Module3: Environmental Monitoring and Mitigation Plans (EMMPs)
